Released in 1988 in US, there were more than 800,000 copies sold in US alone within four months of its release. With the usual acceptance by the spectators, Michael Jackson Moonwalker too made it to the success but a section of media failed to found it awfully appealing and felt that the complete film somehow lost in between the music and performances.
